Whip is ~7.5% stronger on task than fang against mutated bloodvelds, which have 30 def level and 0 def bonus. Rapier is ~2.33% stronger on task than fang against black demons, which have 162 def level and 0 def bonuses. yeah but you have to remember that the whip attacks faster than the fang, so against most enemies that aren't insanely tanky like dragons, the whip destroys enemies on slayer tasks because of the slayer helm accuracy. the fang obviously outperforms pretty much anything as you start to hit things with more than 80+ resists. Fang + whip gives you more options than rapier + whip. Rapier is a minor upgrade to the whip and isn't really used anywhere special when compared to the fang. For sure. Rapier does beat the fang very little in a few spots but the fang just does way more and way better.
