P365 takedown lever won't go down.

My P365 has this rattle when I shake it side to side. (Don’t ask why I even started doing that, I don’t even know.) After inspecting the FCU, I realized that the rattling is coming from the take down lever “bar” which runs down the left side of the FCU. It is now stuck at 7/5 o'clock. The slide sits about 1/8" from the back end of the frame, but racks ok and can be locked back with the release/catch. Also, can't get the slide off of the frame, now. Can't insert a mag, can't pull trigger fully.

It should be holding the sear down. Yep this was the problem. The takedown safety level hooks around a little pin in the rear end of the FCU. This little pin is what move the sear up/down. Particularly step #4. When you have the slide locked back, Turn the take down lever down with the left thumb. Try releasing a little bit of pressure on the the slide (moving the slide to the rear a bit) while turning the take down. SO. If this is the status of your P365 in that you cannot remove the Slide hopefully removing the Striker will allow the Slide to slide forward and off of your P365. It is the newest version.IMO give the trigger a pull and then let go of it and regardless of the takedown lever position, try to take the slide off with a bit of muscle. The takedown lever moves fine, but the slide release wont move, and the slide wont move when the takedown switch is down. I can reset the takedown lever and it functions as normal.
